Fast paced paranormal erotica. Cevin is in his last year of medical school, soon to graduate and marry his long time girlfriend, Sam. Life is good, until he begins having increasingly sexual dreams about another woman. He quickly discovers the the dreams are no mere fantasies, and that he is the fated Alpha of a wolf pack. If he becomes the Alpha, he will lose his current life, and even worse, Sam. He only has until the full moon to discover if there's any way to avoid this fate.

Erotica isn't typically my genre of choice, and this one definitely had a few more sex scenes than I prefer. They were quite hot and spicy though. I like the werewolf fated mates trope, though I'm not a huge fan of the main character being forced to betray/leave his true love. This is a very short and fast paced novella. The writing didn't feel fully polished, and there were a few word choices that threw me off. The cliffhanger ending did leave me intrigued, though. I would be curious to see where the story goes next. ( )

I never read erotica or paranormal, but this combination of both was a fast-paced, surprisingly fun ride. The characters were likeable and the connections real. While there were many sexual encounters, but they weren’t overly crude and didn’t overstay their welcome. I finished this book in one sitting, as the story was quite interesting. I look forward to part two! ( )

To Love A Wolf was a fast pacing short paranormal, erotic story. Cevin and his girlfriend Sam are living together, the plan is that they will finish studying and then eventually get married and start a family. Unfortunately Cevin’s life has already been planned out with him and the changes are about to start.
It was a really enjoyable read, lots of sexual encounters, perhaps too much but it worked with the storyline. With Werewolves and Full Moons and a seductress who is visiting Cevin in his dreams.
Well written and I hope there is a second book. ( )

I want to say that I don't read erotica often, but when I do, I'm always left with a smile. For me, I want a strong plot and a high level of sexual heat. To Love a Wolf delivers both and combines it with a unique set of twists.

The characters were written well and they came alive for me. You feel their reactions as opposed to being told. The same goes for scenery, and other descriptive bits. It's more about the struggle and that's what I want in a book.

Why did I knock off half a star? Honestly, I wanted more story. I realize now that there will be more, but I want it now, and am known for being impatient when it comes to books.

Obviously the story is intended for readers 18 and older. If you want to read real erotica and like PNR, pick this title up. If you've never read erotica and enjoy steamy PNR, pick this one up. I have half the mind --which means I will- to pick up all books by BK Walker ( )

A man is in love and ready to get married. The woman that owns his heart is next to him but not in his steamy dreams. There, he finds something much more that has his body reacting in ways he never imagined. As he investigates the strange dreams, he finds a new world and a history that will change his entire future as well as risk the lives of everyone he loves.

The story is set at a good pace: not too slow or too fast. You could set it down and pick it up easily, but you will want to continue reading it and find out how it ends. The storyline is a unique twist on werewolves which makes the story much more appealing. It dives into dreams and other paranormal aspects leaving hints to the reader for more.

The characters are unique and pull you in. The author writes from a man’s point of view which makes this even more well-done since the author, BK Walker, is a woman. I was very impressed with that. It changes how you look at it when you know that.

BK has a very direct writing style. She uses description and action to show what is happening, but she doesn’t mess around with fluffy fill-in words. She gets right to the point. Also, be aware that this book is racy and using exceedingly blunt words. The dialogue is not crude. The blunt words are found within the narrative. This is also a relatively explicit book though the scenes do not last long. These scenes are important for the plot, so I wouldn’t recommend trying to skip over them. Don’t like them, then pass on the story. Otherwise, you’ll find a great read. It is short and can be read easily in an afternoon. The ending…well, you’ll be looking for the next book.
