this book is about a chameleon who is trying to find its own identity. It changes colors to try to be like other animals, but then discovers that its perfect just the way it is-as a chameleon. I think this book did a great job of including themes of identity and bing yourself while also including fun illustrations!

Sometimes we think being a certain way would change our lives for the better.

Our little chameleon’s life is perfectly designed for him.

Be true to yourself and you can eat as many flies as you like has to be one of the weirdest morals ever, but I'm still not impressed with this transforming lizard and its self-image issues. ( )

A trip and a half, this one. I greatly enjoyed it, though possibly not for the reasons one might expect. ( )
