"Jeffrey Epstein rose from humble origins to the rarefied heights of New York City's financial elite. A college dropout with an instinct for numbers--and for people--Epstein amassed his wealth through a combination of access and skill. But even after he had it all, Epstein wanted more. And that unceasing desire--especially a taste for young girls--resulted in his stunning fall from grace. From Epstein himself, to the girls he employed as masseuses at his home, to the cops investigating the appalling charges against him, Filthy Rich examines all sides of a case that scandalized one of America's richest communities."--Amazon.com.… (mehr)

Who is Jeffery Epstein? This book tries to gain intel on the powerful, influential, and filthy rich Epstein. Epstein is a billionaire philanthropist turned sexual predator of minors. Filthy Rich tells of his disgusting plots and schemes to manipulate young girls into his bedroom. Filthy Rich gives you the inside scoop on just how shady money can make a person. Jeffery Epstein and all this pals from high, or low places, depending on the way you see it, are abhorrent individuals. Though a bit outdated, Filthy Rich shows the sexual deviance in MANY powerful, wealthy men. I wish Patterson would have gotten his answer to "How well do you sleep at night?", from scumbag Epstein. I couldn't finish it. That's all I can say. Not James Patterson's normal writing. I've read his other true crime stories and loved them. Something missing in this one. ( )

This book is outdated because of recent events, but it's clear that Epstein has been a scumbag for a long, long time.

The book tip-toes around well known politicians and sticks to the facts very well, which is admirable. I'm glad that Patterson left out much of the rumors and gossip that (so far) has not been proven with evidence in a court or with the questionable documentation that's been swirling around for a long time.

Even with the exclusion of the questionable, Patterson shows a clear timeline of Epstein's descent into the sexual manipulation and rape of teenage girls. The more he got away with it, the wider his perversions became. What probably began as creepy ephebophilia crawled into sexual slavery of underclass teens, abuse and blackmail.

It's a shame. Epstein could have been a philanthropist and an all around good guy with his intelligence and diversified interests. Instead, he became his worst self. ( )

Account of the very rich pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein and his sexual assaults on underage girls in Palm Beach, FL. Does not include his subsequent arrest and suicide in New York. ( )
