There are slithery, venomous aliens; time-changing wormholes; a badass krav maga Queen; a suave tattooed space gangster; just every bit of scifi goodness packed into one glittering helping of action and intrigue. One doesn't simply read as you consume this book. Its s fast read. I read this in about 6 days, simply reading on my my lunch hour. If you started this .book on a plane ride from NY to LA, you could be finished by the time you land. It does help if you read the first book, but I don't think it is a requirement. I would suggest you do because like Gemina, is a fast read and the visuals, pictures, illustrations and "email reprints", are so cool to rip through. This is the perfect summer read. Wow. Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff deliver. Again.
After reading and enjoying The Aurora Cycle and Illuminae I wanted to read Gemina, and headed in with high expectations that I'll enjoy it as much as the previous four works from these authors. I saw Gemina in a library, picked it up and glanced at the blurb, making it seem intriguing. When I closed the final page, it was enjoyable.
