Fiction. Mystery. HTML:Nick and Nora arenâ??t just pussyfooting around this time as they deal with a missing personâ??s case and murder.

While catering a gala for the Cruz Museum, Nora Charles agrees to look into the disappearance of director Violet Crenshawâ??s niece, a case previously undertaken by her frisky feline friend Nickâ??s former owner, a private eye whose whereabouts are also currently unknown.

As Nora and her curious cat Nick pull at the string of clues, they begin to unravel a twisted tale of coded messages, theft, false identities, murder, and international espionage. Nora dares to hope that the labyrinth of leads will not only help them locate the missing young woman, but also solve the disappearance of the detective. Thatâ??s if Nora can stay alive long enough to find him...

Crime and Catnip by T.C. LoTempio, one of my favorite authors. Almost finished and I adore this Nick and Nora series. Nora Charles was crime reporter and then inherited her parent’s Hot Breads which she is trying to make financially successful. There is a lot of back story of how she got Nick, the extremely intelligent tuxedo cat but don’t want to go into that.

One of the reasons that I love this series is I used a wonderful intuitive tuxedo cat. On the day that my parakeet died, I was crying and she went out and caught a baby bird for me! I took the bird and went down the steps to the basement and let it out at the patio door. The bird flew off and I went back to thank my cat. She never brought me another bird, only that one. And was only of the stories that I have of her.

There is extensive interaction between Nick and Nora. He manages to help her figure out the mysteries, and gives her clues in many ways. His strong eyesight and sense of smell really help the mystery unravel. I read two other previous books in this series and I adore all of them. You learn a little about two different kinds of coding. The romance is light and Nora's are also helpful with the mystery.

This is third of the series and I recommend reading them in order so you can watch Nick and Nora's bonding grow. ( )

Can you say coincidences? This series is really just one coincidence after another every single character it seems is involved in at least 2 of the 3 mysteries in this book. But least I judge it too harshly the cat does some outlandish stuff and if that's not bothering me I don't know why I let a few coincidences. This is the last of the books released so far and I liked all three so if they do a fourth I'll read right along.
Hey you gotta love a cat that plays scrabble, right.

Also a shout out to the author who does charity work for Nathan Fillion’s charity, Kids Need to Read! ( )

I have to say that T.C. makes a story come to life, Nora and Nick are real characters that any cozy reader will love. The style of having a long standing who done it through the series, makes this a stand alone and a fabulous series. The reader will enjoy heading to a gala surrounded by mystery and knights. If readers enjoy wit, mystery at every turn and an amusing fur friend- they will adore reading this book!
