Now, all sentimentality out of the way, this book has some good recipes in it. I love to look at the pictures. It's British so there are some unusual names for veggies and unusual spellings. For quantities, I have the option of using grams, ounces, or cups.
I have made a couple of fantastic recipes from this cookbook. Pork with Pineapple is one such dish I made for my husband and my nephew. The fresh pineapple on top (that was work!) totally made this dish. The other may have been the chimichangas. Unfortunately, I didn't mark the recipes I made from this cookbook.
Here's two recipes for my sister in this book: Chayotes with Corn and Chillies and Chayote Salsa.
I need to definitely rediscover this cookbook. Some of the recipes are too long and complicated but others aren't so bad. ( )
