The third edition of The new Oxford annotated Bible was edited by Michael D. Coogan, editor ; Marc Z. Brettler, Carol A. Newsom, Pheme Perkins, associate editors. It was published in 2001 and differs from an earlier publication, also labeled Third Edition, that was edited by Bruce M. Metzger, Roland E. Murphy ; contributors, Bernhard W. Anderson ... [et al.].. (published in 1991). It also differs from the second edition that contained the Revised Standard Version and was edited by Herbert Gordon May and Bruce Metzger. This editiion is not listed in the Library of Congress catalog. Information was located using Yale University library catalo.
