I enjoy history, and I really enjoyed this book about the lives of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. While still being a children's book, this book highlights some of the more important aspects of each of their lives. I also learned many things I did not know before. Franklin and Eleanor were distant cousins. I also did not know how big of a role Eleanor had while serving as First Lady. She went on many of the trips Franklin could not because of his wheel chair. I liked the organization of how the book read. It first talked about Franklin's childhood, then Eleanor's childhood. Then when they both met. The rest of the book is about their life together, but still what they achieved on their own. ( )

This book shows how Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt helped with American history. They dedicated their lies to making the country better. The pictures were detailed. I think this is a good book for middle schoolers. ( )

This biography of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt is chocked full of great pictures and lots of facts. As an adult, I walked away with new knowledge of this couple that is deeply engrained in American history. However, as a children's book, I wish there wasn't quite so much writing - it's a little exhausting. ( )
