Thought I'd give this series one more try. I don't know why I bothered. Major Insta Love. The whole story was beyond unbelievable and it took place over about a week with the major part of the action (hah! action, not) taking three days. Not only was the romance unbelievable but the suspense element was laughable. If Rusty was so good at setting up a false identity for Zoe how did the bad guy find her? So they went and got her back, what happened to the bad guy? Did they kill him? Did he go to prison? What about the criminal father? Everyone in this series loved everyone else and would willingly die for them. Even the very first day they meet someone. So saccharine. Blah. ( )

This story was sweeter than most in this series with less action, even though there was some. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because you don’t ever really find out anything about her father so I felt it was a loose end. Otherwise a really good book. ( )

Zoe is on the run, hiding out at the compound with her friend Rusty's family. Joe was a happy bachelor but was sunk after he met Zoe. Sweet romance, with annoying 'I'm not worthy issues'. Sprinkles of Rusty and Sean's story. First it's idealistic, then there's alienation, with a splash of drama with the expected kidnapping and subsequent rescue of the girl. I kept walking away from this read.
