From the bestselling author of the San Francisco Thunder series comes a sexy forbidden romance between a determined hockey player and the woman he won't let get away. As his team's enforcer on the ice, Sebastian Deveau is America's favorite fighting Frenchman. But he's just as likely to get into trouble off the ice -- especially when it comes to women. Shayne Beckford is so over hockey. It ruined her parents' marriage. It spoiled her brother's dreams. And let's not even talk about her college boyfriend . . . So when Sebastian Deveau walks into her brother's gym, she has no idea who he is. All she knows is that he's one gorgeous man with the sexiest accent she's ever heard. And since she never has to see him again, she lets him give her the best orgasm of her life right on top of the gym's dryer. But Sebastian isn't going to let this one-night stand get away so easily. He fights for what he wants, even if it takes fighting a little dirty . . . More in the Hometown Players series: One More Shot Making a Play The Final Move.… (mehr)

Money, fame and women are Sebastian's Achilles Heel. They bring out the wild man in him and cause nothing but issues for his image. Hockey and heartache have followed Shayne around like a dark cloud for years. Hockey destroyed her family, crushed her brother's dreams and has left her on the receiving end of pain many times over. An instant attraction, a heated encounter and surprising discovery will land her right where she hoped to never be again. On the verge of a broken heart. The title says everything for this tumultuous love story. Winning It All, means taking a chance when the cons far outweigh the pros. Ms. Denault supplies the sentiment of romance, wrapped in the glamour of fame and seasons it with the charm of small town. What's not to love? ( )

OHHHHH Myyyy. That accent. That face. That body. That oooooooooooogasim. All in on package before you. I gotta say Sebastian Deveau has moved up very, very high on my book boyfriend listing. He can be my private fighting Frenchman. Never deny him. He can enforce anything he wants. Any time he wants. Any where he wants. Damn now that is saying some things clearly.

Sexy, hot, looking for love or not. Hot, body melting sexy in inappropriate places. Sebastian has command on the ice. He personal life maybe a different story. Until he finds the one that he may want just a bit more than a night or two. The only thing is that she has no love for hockey players. NONE. Things begin to swirl around and then life does what it does and the past comes back and bite hard.

I have to say this . . . I want more Seattle Winterhawks. ( )

Victoria Denault created another sensational book in the Hometown Players series with book four, WINNING IT ALL. Yoga/nutrition instructor Shayne Beckford and NHL defenseman Sebastian Deveau met at the grand opening of Shayne’s brothers new state of the art fitness center and have a one-night stand. One night isn’t enough for Sebastian. Due to multiple bad experiences, Shayne, wants nothing to do with hockey players. Good thing she has no idea what Sebastian does for a living. This contemporary sports romance takes place in Seattle. It is suitable for both new adult and adult audiences.

We met Sebastian in book three when he was at a party flirting with Callie Caplan and annoying his teammate Jordan Garrison’s brother, Devin. I really like Sebastian. He has a great personality. He is persistent and determined. I love that he is studying architecture and interior design. I like his relationship with his sister, Stephanie. I love that he breaks Shayne’s dad’s hockey record.

I can understand why Shayne dislikes hockey players, even though I thought she was being unfair by stereotyping. Her dad is a piece of work, definitely not a good role model. I like how supportive she is of her brother. Shayne is a smart and principled. I appreciated that she would not accept her father’s money. She and Seb have terrific chemistry.

I like Shayne’s friend Audrey; I think it was cool that she relocated to Seattle with her. I was really glad that Jordan Garrison and Jessie Caplan from book one, were in this story. Jessie has a lot in common with Shayne and becomes a good friend.

Victoria Denault does a fantastic job with both her character development and plot. The characters have a lot of depth, and they grow throughout the story. The plot is believable and heartfelt. There are some interesting obstacles throughout the story. The novel is well-written, and it flows well. Even at 283-pages the book was a fast read. The story has a cute ending. I am looking forward to the next book in the series, ON THE LINE, expected to release on December 6, 2016.
