I smiled especially at "Covers" and would recommend it for children because it can be used to teach them concepts like what makes a rainy day---clouds that cover the sky!! use of covers, and moreso, that they use covers at niighttime which you can tell them keeps the monster away as nighttime covers all the things that creep. This book of poems is based off nature. I liked this book because of the rhyming and the language. The rhyming in the poems made reading fun. For example, on page 14 and 20, “Never tickle a prickled pickle because prickled pickles don’t smile” and “Flowers for hours remain inert but when the bees pass they flutter and flirt.” I also enjoyed the language. The language was very descriptive and paints an image in your mind. For example on page 19 and 26, “I’d swim across the clear blue air to reach my rainbow boat” and “ They dance the ballet of the night, the pirouette and boogie down in blue and red and blue-white dress. They hustle through the night.” The main message of the book is to enjoy nature.
