Maggie is brought in by the police for questioning about her ties to the Fuentes family and a drug they are pushing on the market. Maggie is completely innocent and it seems her husband, Grant, a DEA agent has framed her, Joe, another agent and Maggie's ex - comes to the rescue. He can't believe his best friend could do such a thing. Joe and Maggie separated two and half years ago, when Maggie walked away and Joe didn't try to stop her- it was the worse mistake of his life. Now she's here - and she needs help - he'll do his best to find the truth, wether it be innocence or guilt.

An entertaining short story. Lots of intrigue, with good and bad guys, and intense reconciliation goings on with 'let's make up with lots of hot sex'.

Great storyline and characters. Very enjoyable, I highly recommend it! ( )

Received an ARC for honest review for netgalley. At first, I thought I was going to be furious with this book when I started reading. I thought I was going to detest Joe, but happily that was not the case. It is an engaging book, poor Maggie, it was heartbreaking reading what she went thru, unnecessarily. Had Joe, been a man from the beginning so much could have been avoided. Both Maggie and Joe were miserable, had he just stepped up and spoke up, admitted the truth, dealt with his insecurities, she would not have to have lived the hell she was put thru. He would been much happier, instead of suffering, but that was his fault. Luckily she was a forgiving woman, and the fact that she loved him, helped a lot, much better woman than me. Wow, reading about Grant, was intriguing, he was a really horrible individual. I was glad, that what Maggie and I thought at the beginning was not the case, I wont tell you, so that you can read it, and find out for yourself. I am happy that after all was said and done they got there HEA, she truly truly deserved it. Good outcome. ( )
