I liked the premise of the book, the setting, the plot, and I appreciated that the romance was clean. However, I found the characters a little underdeveloped and their relationship rushed along with the spiritual development of Graeme. His character arc and spiritual development was unrealistic and felt superficial to me. Tillie's character arc and wrestle within the relationship felt more flushed out and believable. The love triangle with Arthur felt a little too obvious to me as the reader and would have like to see more depth and complexity there.
Overall, it was a fast paced adventure read with some creative twists, nice for an afternoon or beach read.
