It is a book about the beach but it incorporates counting by tens. The plot is very simple and sweet. On each page, there is a sentence about an activity you can do at the beach. For example it says, “TEN toes climb up to the lifeguard’s stand. TWENTY toes jog through the shallow waves.” The book is written like this throughout- all the way to number one hundred. I also really liked the illustrations. In each corner, there is a visual showing the number of dots needed to make the number talked about on the page. For example, on the page with which talks about the number fifty, there are 5 cards (each card has 10 dots). This is a great visual that really helps the reader understand how to count by tens. Lastly, I liked how on the very last page, there is a bunch of great information. One of the sections is “fun facts.” One of the fun facts is, “One fourth of all bones in your body are in your feet.” This page also gives a safe, fun website that the reader can go to. It is related to the book (www.facthound.com). Overall, this is a simple “counting by tens” book yet, it is very engaging and interesting. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
