Surprisingly bad story, in my opinion. The "relationship" between Ivy and Boone happens abruptly and is unconvincing in its immediacy. Boone is SUCH a red-neck in his talk and demeanor ALL of the time, that I didn't develop a liking for him in the slightest. His need for retribution after being slighted, when he brought some of it on himself to begin with, was Trump-like and incomprehensible. Ivy was more likable, but poorly written. The author seemed barren of the words to adequately tie the woman-virgin-former hick components together to explain her attraction to Boone.

Reviewing the narrators' performance... Ms. Estrella did the most she could with the material given her. Mr. Sanda was Matthew McConaughey-esque in his sound, perfect for Boone, but because of the one-dimensional character being portrayed... I quickly tired of listening to his constant crassness.

I often didn't know if I wanted to laugh or get mad throughout this story. I guess, both. ( )
