Here's what I wrote after reading in 1995: "Continues Hassler's stories from ficticious Minneapolis town of Staggerford. Simple and enjoyable." ( ) [Dear James] is number 3 in the Staggerford-series - and once again it’s a pleasant reunion with Agatha McGee and the now soon retiring priest James from the previous novel. It’s been three years and Agatha has stopped as principal at the local catholic school - now she’s going on a travel to Rome where she’ll eventually end up metting James again. Hassler is good at describing this blooming platonic love affair and friendship - who are enjoying each others company - but are afraid of opening up to each other. I feel at home in Hasslers universe - several new characters are introduced in this volume. 3054 Dear James, by Jon Hassler (read 20 Feb 1998) This is a direct sequel to the author's A Green Journey, which I read July 8, 1996, and is the 7th book by Hassler I've read. Agatha McGee goes to Italy and James meets her there. It is an inspirational story, and there was very little in it that I disapproved of. James is a good priest, and Agatha is a good Catholic. I found this a most enjoyable book. Zeige 4 von 4 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
