I thought this book was super fun. The stories are so right on for kids at early chapter book level. A little bit of nonsensical magic goes a long way to solve the problems that arise. It's almost like it was written by a kid, or at least heavily influenced by a kid answering questions like, "What would you do here...?," except a bit more witty and cleverly put together. I really enjoyed it. ( )

How fun to have a grandma who is a wacky witch! The story was funny and sweet, with adorable characters, and cutely illustrated. I'd like to read more on this series.

A good entry to my elementary school library--it has all the elements first and second grade early readers will enjoy: magic, rule breaking, humor, illustrations, a delightful grandma. All things that will help early readers enjoy it.

Although I read it, this level of reading never really grabs me. It's an important step for readers of 'beginning' chapter books to have nice simple stories (things without, as I like to say, meat) that match their maturity and understanding. ( )

Adorable fun for new chapter book readers. Still illustrated and not too scary long. It is nice start to a possible series collection. Reminds me of an updated version of Mrs Piggle Wiggle. Great addition to a summer reading list! ( )
