These stories are becoming very addictive. I enjoy each and every one and very much look forward to the continuation of this thrilling mystery. I find this story does not compare to any other novels I have read and stand alone. I am very much looking forward to the next enthralling venture into the Killing Game.

Where the previous book, "The Lost Days" (Book 3), was really Ives' book, this book is about what is happening at the same time to Allina. Allina's story is just as good as Ives' story was.

The writing throughout this entire series is exceptional. The story lines, from the beginning, are different and intriguing. While it is not evident at the time, each story in each book is all a part of a bigger picture leading to a greater ending story. It is fascinating to watch it develop.

It is easy to fall in love with the hero, Ives, from the very first book. Allina's character (our heroine) and been slowly revealed and she has grown tremendously as the books have gone on.

I can't tell you how much I am enjoying this series. While it is a romantic, mystery thriller, it is so much more. It has certainly made me stop and think about things I haven't thought about in years. Anything that causes a person to question and think, in addition to providing immense entertainment, is certainly a good and positive experience.

I hope I don't have to wait an eternity for the next book. I don't want to lose the details to the mists of time so I can fully enjoy the next experience in this exceptional series.

The Last Hope by The Black Rose is Book 4 of The Killing Game Series. Sometimes the only hope left is God. Allina, the wife of Ives Andrich, FBI special agent, wakes up at a very secluded mountain estate, with her husband nowhere in sight. She doesn’t know where she is and she doesn’t know how she got there, but she listens and she learns about the people who are around her. She comes to the realization that things are much worse than she could ever have imagined – her captors are a secret German organization, one she had already been warned about. They tell her that her husband is missing and is presumed dead, but she denies it. After one failed attempt at escape, it is only her thoughts of her husband and the love they have for each other that keep her going. Things are about to change, though, and not in a way she could ever have predicted.

The Last Hope (Book 4 of The Killing Game Series) by The Black Rose was an amazing read and it makes me wish I had read the first 3 books in the series. The story gripped me right from the word go and had me on the edge of my seat. Full of suspense, mystery and true undying love, this is one story that wouldn’t let go. The plot is ingenious and the character development was excellent; in no way did I ever feel that I was missing too much from not having read the rest of the series. That said, I would urge anyone who picks this up to read it in sequence to make sure they have the full story – I certainly will be reading the others now. Great story, I'm looking forward to more.

The Last Hope, Book Four of The Killing Game Series by The Black Rose, takes the reader into the dark world of megalomaniacs intent on controlling the world. Their goal is a new world power inhabited by Aryan-type humans. Echoes of the Nazi regime are real, not imagined, as you pursue the reasons behind the disappearance of Allina, what is to happen to her, and why being married to high-ranking special agent Ives Andrich is the reason. After being rescued, presumably by FBI agents, from what could have been a watery grave, Allina finds herself held captive in luxurious but unknown surroundings. Why she is there, and who is responsible for her capture leads you into a frightening world of men wanting nothing less than world domination. A new world order. Allina is desperate for news of her beloved husband. Is he dead? Who are these people? None of her questions are being answered in a way that makes sense.

If you like an intense, superb and thrilling read, then choose this book. Allina’s position is precarious, and depending on who she trusts, it can be downright dangerous. I found it to be a particularly frightening scenario. One that is repeatedly exercised in our world, where ruthless mini-dictators attempt to overthrow all that is good. The characters are eerily reminiscent of some present day persons. My skin crawled as their intentions became more obvious, and I found myself willing Allina to not lose strength. The story is beautifully presented and developed, with great attention to detail. I came to the last page much too soon. Recommended.
