Summary: This is the story of a young boy named Tom Sawyer who lives in St. Petersburg, Missouri with his Aunt Polly and brother Sid. In this book Tom has many things to happen to him. Tom and his friend Huckleberry Finn witness a murder. Tom eventually testifies and an innocent man goes free. Tom and Huck also run away and are presumed dead. They then concot a scheme to come back at the funeral and they families think they have come back from the dead. Tom and Huck go through many things in this book.

Personal Reaction: I like this book when I was younger but not so much now. Just isn't in my genre of books.

Classroom Extension:
Can be used to deal with how to do the right thing even when its a hard thing today.

Can be used to reference racial differences in that time.
