Unable to think of a way to solve his problems until his teacher gave him the advice and teach him about flexible thinking. And he uses that thought process to get through things. Picture book about a boy who struggles with flexible thinking. Different things ruin his day and his perfect expectations. Through his mom's helping advice, he learns the power of flexible thinking and how to make a bad day, a good one. I think this book is perfect for young children who struggle with having rigid thinking and poor executive function. Especially students with autism or ADHD. I probably wouldn't use this book unprompted in a classroom, but if the need arises, I would definitely read it to my students! This book could be used through all elementary ages. This book would be a great book for intermediate readers This book is about many different children the ways that they learn how use flexible thinking in situations that do not go the ways that the children desire it to go. This book would be great to read at the beginning of the year and then again at the end of the year to create discussion and then to provide students an opportunity to reflect on how they have grown in their thinking over the course of the year. My Day Is Ruined can teach students the importance of flexible thinking and how it can positively impact them. This book shows a young person struggling with wanting things a certain way and used to do things in different ways. Throughout the book the young student learns flexible thinking and growth mindset. I think this book would be a powerful read aloud for Kindergarteners. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
"When the championship baseball game gets rained out, ballplayer Braden curls up on the couch and cries. Just another one of his overreactions. Braden always lets small disappointments ruin his day, so his mom and teacher give him a lesson on "flexible thinking." Will this help Braden feel better when disappointment comes his way?" -- Publisher. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |
