A young boy and his grandfather enjoy spending quality time together, doing things like driving with the top down, making pancakes, and reading books. The twist at the end is that the book's narrator is actually the grandfather, despite the impression given all along that the child is speaking.

This is sweet book about the relationship between a grandfather and his grandson. The story has that "warm and fuzzy" sort of feel, and the gentle illustrations add to that. It's a nice read to share with a loved child, especially a grandchild. My only real complaint is that after reading it once, the fun of the twist ending is gone but oh well. I read this book with several young kids (preschool-kindergarten age) who all enjoyed it. ( )
