Cute! Certainly a complete understanding of the idea of electrons is most likely beyond the capacity of understanding for most in the board-book target audience, but Electrons is a great introduction to the topic. We like to take fun, zero-pressure opportunities to expose kids to concepts they will encounter later, and this book does just that.

This is adorable! I love that it's in both Spanish and English -- making it a perfect gift for the bilingual 2 year old I am giving it to! The illustrations and bright colors are fun, and the science concepts are distilled down enough (without becoming untrue, which definitely can happen through simplification) to help a young child develop an interest in science. (

This is a cute, colorful book that may be over the heads of most two-to-seven-year-olds, the stated age range for the book. In my state, the concept of atoms is not taught until middle school, and some of the vocabulary in this book (despite a two-page glossary at the end) would be a challenge even at the early elementary level. The rhyming text (sometimes forced) might serve to reinforce the concepts with older elementary school children. (

This is a cute book that explains in an easy way for young people to understand science, electrons, and neutrons. We recommend it for any age.

Cute book... I think it does a good job covering the visual models of atoms while also making the more theoretical ideas about it visual too. (
