Excerpt from La Question d'Argent: Com die en Cinq Actes A. Dumas fils is an author whose works are comparatively little read and who is generally misunderstood on this side of the Atlantic. The work here edited, la Question d'argent, is offered as a good example of the author's dramatic genius, while the Introduction tries to make clear the deep convictions and lofty motives which inspired Dumas. La Question d'argent is the most suitable of all Dumas' plays for use as a text-book, being free from features that might be regarded as objectionable. In view of school - use, a few short passages, not more than four or five lines in all, have been cut out, and one line slightly changed. A few obvious misprints in the Paris edition have been corrected here. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
