This series continues to delight. Picking up immediately from Book 1, the Sisters Grimm are sent to school in Fairyport Landing and it soon becomes obvious that something is amiss when Sabrina finds her teacher dead in a web. Sabrina is a giant brat in this book, and it took a lot for me to not roll my eyes at her and give up on the book. But, I didn't, and it turned out that her anger was very plot-relevant!

And, it ended on a cliffhanger so of course I had to start book three right away... ( )

The school you went to might still give you nightmares, but there probably were no homicidal monsters devouring your classmates. If there were, you should write your own book. This was an excellent sequel. Puck remains annoying (that's his job, after all) but he's starting to grow on me. ( )

This sounds like a fun twist on mystery, which middle readers love. I think the 11 year old heroine of the story will connect with young readers, the fast action was a bit much for me, but I am not 11 years. old. Some readers don't like cliffhanger endings, but this does get you to read the next book in the series! ( )

In this volume Sabrina and Daphne finally get enrolled in school. Daphne's teacher is Snow White and her classmates love her. Sabrina's teacher is Mr. Grumpner and she is not doing quite as well as with her fellow classmates. Sabrina is angry all the time, her classmates are always sleepy and there have been murders at the school.

I liked the story but the narrator just wasn't working for me. This story ended on a cliffhanger and I cannot decide whether I want to try listening to it again or whether I should just get a paperback. Some of his voices were good, but his voice for the girls in particular just wasn't working for me. ( )
