I really liked Morgan and Misty. They weren't ever boring. Both their loving and their fighting were so much fun to watch.

These brothers certainly fall in love quickly! Can't wait to see who catches Gabe's heart. ( )

Glad to finally be able to read Morgan's story. I've long since finished the rest of the series. This one was really good, classic Foster. I liked both the spunky heroine Misty and the blustering tough guy with a marshmallow heart, Morgan. This is a simple guy falls hard for a girl story.

Couple of comments. Her name was Misty Malone and his was Morgan. He called her Malone. Morgan and Malone were to close together and I had to pay too much attention to keep track of who was talking.

Then, there was one scene that lasted 100 pages from page 37 to 137. That was one day. 100 pages from a 207 page book was a bit much to be spent on one day. I started to obsess about it after a bit. Plus the author did something that annoys me. They had been at a party the night before. Then sometime in the middle of the super long day she says "and he'd already proven that night in the gazebo that all it took..." Okay, 'that night in the gazebo' was last night. The scene had gone on so long that even the author and the heroine had forgotten. She should have said "last night in the gazebo." It's minor I know but it still irks me. ( )

I was looking forward to reading Morgan story and it didn't disappoint. I am enjoying this series. Simple, fun romances! ( )

The second brother bites the dust. I loved Morgan in the first book. He was so big and tough, putting on the big, bad sheriff attitude, but Honey wasn't intimidated. In this book, Honey's sister Misty comes to help out for the wedding and ends up staying awhile. The first person she met was Morgan, and the sparks flew right away - at least until he discovered she was Honey's sister.

Misty is ready for a chance to rest and recoup. She's had a rough couple months. She got pregnant, then her fiance dumped her because he doesn't want kids, Then her employer accused her of stealing from the business and she ended up convicted and jobless. She's trying to keep up a cheerful front and Morgan is convinced she has her eye on his brothers. But she's sworn off men, they're too much trouble for her to deal with right now. She's attracted to Morgan, but since he doesn't seem to like her, resisting shouldn't be too hard. But once he finds out her secrets, his protective instincts kick in and she finds herself the focus of his efforts. She discovers that the scowling face hides a pretty soft heart, and her own is soon in danger of falling for him.

Morgan first earned his badass title as a hotheaded teenager. But that attitude has since stood him in good stead as a sheriff that few people will argue with. He's learned a lot about self control in those years. Meeting Misty has turned that self control into nothing. He's really attracted to her, but she's Honey's sister and for him that makes her off limits. Staying away from her is the safest thing for him to do, but that isn't easy when she's living in the same house. And the way she seems to flirt with his brothers is making him crazy, so he tries to encourage her to leave as soon as she can. Then he finds out about the trouble she's in and wants to take care of her.

I loved the interactions between Morgan and Misty. Just like Honey, Misty isn't at all intimidated by him. I loved seeing her stand up to him when he starts overdoing the controlling thing. There's a terrific scene at the sheriff's office when he gets angry and she blasts him right back. She also feels special with the way he treats her, and she starts to fall for him. Morgan is used to being able to control his emotions and reactions, but something about Misty has him unable to do so. She also has him smiling and laughing more than he as in years and he starts to realize just how much he needs her in his life. They also have incredible chemistry between them, which just adds to the connection. Getting to that final step gives Morgan some problems, especially when he neglects to use the words that would get him what he wants. I loved the scene in town when he finally got it right.

The interactions among all the brothers are still a lot of fun. Sawyer is a bit smug these days, now that he has Honey in his life, and it was amusing to see him giving advice to Morgan. Gabe and Jordan had several episodes of jerking Morgan's chain as they flirted with and teased Misty. Even Casey got into the act as he "didn't see anything". I loved the way they were there for each other too, such as finding ways to delay Misty's leaving early on, and also as they came together to care for the puppy Morgan found. ( )

A re-read of sorts. The story has been reissued about 80 million times (ok, small exaggeration there). Dated references and attitude; but it's still a fun read. ( )
