Stein begins with an overview of women’s roles and rights before the enactment of the nineteenth amendment, and integrates personal stories of women’s struggles (i.e., Elizabeth Cady, Lucretia Mott). The narrative is focused and makes liberal use of language that may be easily understood by these grade levels. Stein’s illustrations are somewhat dark-hued to echo the seriousness of the topic, but children will enjoy hearing about these famous women. This would also be an excellent accompaniment during Women’s History Month. ( ) keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
