After not reading this series for a while, it was with such glee that I jumped back in and it was such a fun distraction for a weird week. ( )

I album tio av Lumberjanes, Parents' day, är det dags för föräldrarna att komma på besök. För de flesta av Roanoke-stugans innevånare är detta något att se fram emot (även om föräldrar kan vara lite pinsamma så är de i stort sett omtyckta), men Mal har lurat sin mamma att hon skall på musikläger, och Molly verkar inte alls vara förtjust i tanken på att träffa sina föräldrar (och när de väl dyker upp förstår man varför).

Men Lumberjanes vore inte den serie det är om allt gick som det ska: en skattletartävling urartar snart, och eftersom barnen helst inte vill att föräldrarna skall få veta att allt inte är riktigt som man kan förvänta sig i skogen så har de snart fullt sjå med att både leta reda på saker som hjärtformade stenar och att hålla en talande, hamnskiftande räv borta från dem.

Allt går naturligtvis inte enligt plan, men som annars tycks allmän omtanke, vänlighet och nyfikenhet vara viktigare i längden än list och skojeri. ( )

So what is really weird about the series is how the character's illustrations keep changing every few graphic novels that I read. Really that would be my only gripe about the series. This book is about the Lumberjanes parents coming to the camp for Parents' Day. Trying to hide all the supernatural stuff from their parents will be super hard and of course there's a new adventure that the girls must face and conquer! As always, great story and it looks like the ending might be leading to the next book. ( )

In this tenth collected volume, the girls attempt to keep their parents from bumping into all the weird things that are constant at their summer camp. But, of course, events conspire to make everything as odd as ever.

I continue to love this comic series and this entry was fun to see the girls' parents and get some of that background context for these awesome girls that readers of the series love so much. As fun and delightful as ever. ( )
