Okay, I usually hate amnesia storylines, but this slow, sweet romance has won me over with its nonsensical twist of the amnesia resetting every Monday. And just as things are progressing nicely, a new transfer student shows up (yes, cliched) who may have answers about the trauma behind Kaori's amnesia. Of course, he will also probably make things worse for our besotted hero, Yuuki.

That said, I find the format of the storytelling a bit vexing. I'm very used to the right-to-left reading style of typical manga at this point. And I can even deal with the gag strips that are read top to bottom in two columns on each page. And this book has both of those. But it also has a third format with four little boxes over a large bottom panel that are read right column top to bottom, then left column top to bottom, and then large panel. Simple enough. If the book was all done in one or even two of these formats, I'd be okay, but each chapter has a mix of all three, and my brain keeps short circuiting, especially when I am tired or distracted, and I find myself constantly reading panels in the wrong order. My stupid old brain is not quite up to the challenge, I guess. Regardless, I find the story worth the struggle. ( )
