Hillary Greene's next cold case involves three missing women. Have they all be stalked by her stalker and are they all dead.
Another enjoyable and interesting well-written story in the series. With such likeable rounded characters. I look forward to reading the next.

This instalment is solely occupied with the discovery of Hillary's stalker from the last book. Hillary is (surprisingly) allowed to work the case from the perspective of the women stalked before her, and a serving DI is in charge of the attack on and stalking of Hillary. This makes for a rather artificial divide, and the majority of the novel is quite scrappy: Hillary interviews family and friends of the missing women, seemingly getting nowhere, and we hear almost nothing of the other DI's work. It was hard for me to keep the three missing persons cases clear in my mind and hard to care that much about them really.

The solution to the historic stalking cases was a bit of a cop out and the capture of the stalker something of an anticlimax. I did enjoy the debriefing by Donleavy at the very end and the Hillary/Steven romance is still sweet, but this was not one of the better novels in this series. ( )
