Great book with tons of advice on how to setup good habits and break those bad habits. The key takeaways for me were 1) start small and easy, and 2) change takes persistence. There's a reason this book has almost 4.5 stars with over 150,000 ratings. Clear is a good writer that breaks things down well. If you want to or have ever wanted to change the way you do things in your life you need to read this book. Read because I heard the author on the Making Sense with Sam Harris podcast. Some good scaffolding for making new habits and breaking bad ones, but this book is absolutely loaded with fluff. It could have been 50 pages long, or even a pamphlet. I can appreciate the research Clear has done and he's got a specialty here.

This is a very inspirational book. It is also practical and user-friendly. Here are my major take-aways:
1. As you continue to layer small changes on top of one another, the scales start to move.... "small changes often appear to make no difference until you reach a critical threshold."
2. How to shape a good habit: make it easy, attractive, and satisfying.
3. How to discourage a bad habit: make it invisible, unattractive, hard, and unsatisfying.
This is a book I want to keep on hand for reflection and review...as the author has observed, "A lack of self-awareness is poison. Reflection and review is the antidote."
