Growing up in Assjacket, WV hasn't been easy, especially when everybody-except me-are Shifters. Even coming from a Shifter family hasn't made me any more popular. But I'm not totally void of amazingness. As the regional grim reaper, I help the souls of dead paranormal beings cross over. One perk of being a reaper is that I learn a lot of secrets from the dearly departed, things the living don't want leaked to their peers. All of this reaperness comes with a price, mainly boredom with a snipple of loneliness sprinkled on top. But all that takes a hike when Jax Jackson, my high school crush, arrives back in town. Yum. Just looking at him awakens parts of me I thought long dead, but my exuberance fades when I learn he's taken a law enforcement position for the area. Breaking the law is sometimes-okay, a lot of times-required to get my reap, and when a particularly nasty group of ghosts have me trespassing on his family land, things get explosive. My mission: reap three honey badger poltergeists, sweet talk my way out of jail time and win the man of my dreams. All without getting killed. Easy.
