Delphi Center forensic anthropologist, Sara Lockhart, is called in when a couple of recreational hikers discover several bones in a local park. Detective Nolan Hess suspects that the bones belong to a teenager who has been missing for several months. Once Sara starts on the case, she and her team dig up several more bones leading them to believe that there is a serial killer at work in Nolan's small community. As the clues continue to mount up, Sara and Nolan come closer to finding the killer, but their attraction to one another threatens to derail the investigation that they have both been working hard to solve.
Stone Cold Heart is another good Tracers novel involving lots of forensic evidence and several suspects who might have been involved with one or more of the killings. Sara and Nolan have baggage in their pasts that make them reluctant to to become involved with each other but are likable enough to make the reader root for them to overcome their personal issues. Overall, a good installment in the Tracers Series. ( )

Sara is drawn into the case of a missing girl. Actually, more than one missing girl. As a forensic anthropologist, she works closely with Nolan, a police detective. The story grows in intensity and suspense as they follow clues and tract down leads. There is also a growing relationship between these two, as their chemistry clicks and they admit to the mutual attraction. The mystery is a good one, and the attention to the details of the case and its solution are well-written and intriguing. I am not a fan of so much detailed romance in a mystery, but that is the genre here, and it’s not fair to penalize the book for being what it is. I would rather have had more of the workings of the police and the forensics and much less of the steamy sex. ( )

Laura Griffin is one of those plot driven writers that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. All of the books in her series pick up with a different character, but you’ll recognize familiar faces along the way! I’d put this up there in my favorites! ( )

This was OK. I liked Nolan and Sara together, but the case wasn't terribly gripping for some reason. ( )

I received this book in a goodreads giveaway. This is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I could tell a lot of research went into all of the forensics mentioned in the book. The story was interesting I found myself not wanting to put it down. I will definitely read more books in this series. Highly recommend. ( )
