Keine aktuelle Diskussion zu diesem Buch. while i'm sure this scholarship on which this book is based is now outdated, it (the book) is nevertheless fascinating and well-illustrated. i had not previously looked that closely into etruscan civilization and was struck by the immediacy, vibrancy, and skill of the art. it would have helped if the illustrations had been pointed back to the relevant text and vice versa; sometimes they are many (up to 100) pages apart. This book examines the question of death in the light of Heidegger s paradigmatic discussion in Being and Time. Pattison reveals where and how Heidegger and theology part ways but also how Heidegger can helpfully challenge theology to rethink one of its own fundamental questions: human beings relation to their death and the meaning of death in their religious lives."
