Or a catcaller paying you a genuine compliment instead of degrading you? Then this is the book for you. Filled will heavily satirical vignettes describing fantastical and completely plausible scenes, if we did not live in a toxic patriarchy. Not of the Erotic genre at all, the vignettes are feminist comedic satire, but go ahead and hold it up in the subway just to make a few prudes blush. The authors clearly enjoyed themselves when writing this slim collection of vignettes. I was little disappointed to learn that the book was not, in fact, short stories, but much shorter vignettes; short scenes of only a few lines. I still enjoyed it and felt very good about myself for reading it so quickly. A very silly little book on the order of "Porn for Housewives" that shows well built men vacuuming. Best: "I walk into my office building, and a sharply dressed man walks in behind me. Feeling his eyes on me, I press the elevator button. It lights up. The man doesn't press it again, just to be sure." keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
"Imagine a world where erotica was written by feminists: Their daydreams include equal pay, a gender-balanced Congress, and Tom Hardy arriving at their doorstep to deliver a fresh case of LaCroix every week. Both light-hearted and empowering, New Erotica for Feminists is a sly, satirical take on all the things that turn feminists on. From a retelling of Adam and Eve to tales of respectful Tinder dates, New Erotica for Feminists answers the question of 'What do women really want?' with stories of power, equality, and an immortal Ruth Bader Ginsburg"-- Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

I really didn't mean to pick up this book at all and suddenly I just had. It was on the table at my best friend's house when I walked in and I hooked on the words new erotica, feminist, and equal pay, and this is all you need to know so that you should be running for it, too.
It's hilarious, tongue-in-cheek feminism and commentary all along the way. It's worth reading it out loud. It's worth owning, and making sure that every girl/woman in your life own a copy as well. Do it. Go now. ( )
