If you haven't read Taken yet, don't read this book yet. You have to have read Taken before you can read Torn or you won't understand a thing about what is going on.

Torn is the second book in this dark romance duet put out by the genius Natasha Knight. It's the continuing story of Sebastian and Helena, the Scarfoni son and the Willow Girl he chose.

Helena is undergoing something terrible at the hands of Lucinda and Ethan. She's counting on Sebastian to save her, but her hope is slowly fading as she lays in the dark.

Torn is not quite as dark as Taken, but that's not to say that it's not dark at all. There are a lot of terrible things that do happen in this story. There are a lot of not terrible things that happen too. All the interactions with all the characters, either as duos or in a group, is just fascinating. Natasha Knight handles it so well. There's so much tension in between Sebastian and Gregory, and it's so hard to know what's going to happen.

While this is a duet, I see potential for more stories to come out of this world, and I would so love to see that happen. ( )
