Die Informationen stammen von der englischen "Wissenswertes"-Seite. Ändern, um den Eintrag der eigenen Sprache anzupassen. Better to die here than be dragged back to feel the lash on me back. Then take me to Edmund and both our names shall be preserved. I saw the lovely Lady Grace picking summer's blooms and I fell in love the moment her eyes met mine. I have been her humble servant ever since, and she mine. I should have beaten you daily. A woman’s place is at her husband’s side. Not running around the countryside like a wanton. Remember, marriage to a lowborn man is no different than marriage to a lord. My face is just as comely as his, yet the women have always flocked to him and run from me.” The wood groaned from Hubert’s firm grip. “Tell me, why would women prefer a man like Ashton to a wellborn lord? I am bastard born. Lower than the lowest. A liar, whoremonger, thief, and a killer. A trickster, drunkard, and quick to temper. A scoundrel, a lout, and a fool. You wallow in self-pity. You use it as an excuse to sin and run away from your responsibilities. You blame others for your problems and hold grudges. You leave those you love behind because you believe they are better off without you. It is easier for you to run and hide than to face the truth.

Letzte Worte |
Die Informationen stammen von der englischen "Wissenswertes"-Seite. Ändern, um den Eintrag der eigenen Sprache anzupassen. On that night, Hugh de Maury stepped out of the festive hall into the frosty night. With a deep breath, he filled his lungs with icy air. Though he was glad his fried, joy did not invade his soul. Nor should it. For there are no pleasures for a man who'd killed his wife. Nay, he would pray for his family and friend's happiness, but he would live in the shadows until God found fit to deal with him. (Zum Anzeigen anklicken. Warnung: Enthält möglicherweise Spoiler.)

GENRE: Historical English Romance; CLEAN Romance; Inspirational Romance; Mystery
SETTING: De Barres Keep.
CENTRAL FEMALE CHARACTER: Lady GRACE de MELAN – courageous; on the run; willing to take the blame.
CENTRAL MALE CHARACTER: GUY ASHTON – incognito; ex Knight in the Templar Order; closest friend to Julian (book 1 and 2).
SYNOPSIS: Grace went on the run trying to get to her true love Edmund. She ran into Guy begging for protection. She becomes ill and he runs to the closest Keep. Attempted murder ensues.
WHAT I LIKED: Going thru the tunnel and look who he finds. AND, courage and a pat on the back leads to a new friend.
RATING: (5) stars BECAUSE plot was a great rescue to surrounded with attempted murder. This is a perfect inspirational with a light touch of romance around a strong emphasis on “whodunit”. I consider this is an adult romance safe for YA. ( )
