Fantasy. Fiction. Literature. Romance. HTML:#1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan pushes the limits in her next novel in the Torpedo Ink series.
Isaak “Ice” Koval is on a club mission when he sees a woman who stops him dead in his tracks. Soleil is a sweet, sexy, girl-next-door type. She’s an innocent who should be nowhere near the rough-and-ready world of the Torpedo Ink motorcycle club. But Ice knows Soleil belongs with him—and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her.
After a life of drifting from one thing to the next, Soleil Brodeur is determined to take control of her life. When her breakup with her manipulative fiancé turns ugly, Soleil searches out the stranger who offered her a lifeline and ends up in a Las Vegas biker bar where she meets a gorgeous, dangerous man straight out of her most secret fantasies.
High on adrenaline, she finds herself falling faster than she thought possible. But Soleil knows little about the territory she’s stumbled into, and even less about what it really means to be Ice’s woman.….

And that is being generous.
If you love repetition on Every Page and Every Paragraph, go for it.

This book is the end of my Christine Feehan journey. I give up. I should have know better. I read one of her books years ago and refused to read another due to the INCESSANT repetition. This is her style of writing. Every thought and action is continuously repeated throughout her books. Not only that, but every book in the series has TONS of repetition from the books before it. So, in this one, we get repetition of various characters and actions from bk#1 & bk#2. Add to that, we have every thought of every character and action in this story repeated CONTINUOUSLY.

Were the sex scenes erotic and steamy? Yes, BUT, Dear God! Even THAT area was so repetitive it got Boring and Annoying!

I give up. I will NOT be continuing this series nor reading any of her other books.
Interesting premise, world and characters, But Not Worth the Ceaseless, Unabating, Interminable. Endless, Persistent, Relentless, Recurrent Repetition!!!

I think I have made my point.

CONTENT WARNING - Sensitive readers may find this book difficult to read.

Listened to audio narrated by well by Jim Frangione.

Ice was trained to be an assassin, abused physically and sexually since childhood alongside his brother and sister. He was taught not only to kill but his sexual drives and needs were forever changed. Ice along with the other children from that 'training' school killed their abusers and have formed an MC that hunts down pedophile rings and destroys the men and women behind them.
Soleil was an orphaned rich girl, who was never loved for herself, only for what her money could proved. She grew up with very little self worth and a strong desire for high risk adventure and desparate wish to be loved. Her desire to be loved has her falling into the clutches of a gold digger group determined to have her money at any cost.

When Ice sees Soliel, he feels for the first time with out commanding his body to do so and he wants to keep her. Soleil it on the run from her ex-fiancé and is hoping for one night with Ice. They both plan to get the other drunk enough to seduce the other, not realizing they both want the same thing and both believe the other will regret it in the morning.

I thought the book started well and I liked the concept but I had problems with the execution. There's a LOT of repetition, and a lot of sex scenes that only seem to be there to add shock value and don't seem to contribute to the story at all. When they are having sex he is often comparing Soleil to past sexual partners. Even though his comparisons start with him being surprised at how his body is responding spontaneously, he goes on to compare Soliel to previous sexual partners. After the first few times it really started to turn me off. Who wants their hero thinking or talking about other women while he's with his woman, and how can it help Soliel's already poor self worth to hear him making those comparisons. The story moves into an almost back to back sex phase, that seems more for shock value than relationship or story development.

I struggled with Soleil's lack of self worth and that she didn't really make any progress throughout the book. I like to see my heroine's grow and become stronger and I didn't really see much of that. I don't think Ice making her give him blow jobs every time she talked about things he didn't like to give her a better use for her mouth was helpful either.

I used to really love Feehan's books but this one just didn't work for me as a romance. Torpedo Ink hunting down the pedophiles and sex traffickers hit all the tick marks for a bad ass MC story and is the only reason I gave this book three stars.

Way too much sex in this one that I skipped over. The main story was good however so I gave it a 4 for the plot.

This story is about Ice who meets a a rich woman (Soleil) running from a fiancé who wants her dead. He is immediately smitten by her and she decides a biker will be able to protect her. Lots of twists and turns in this one just way too much graphic sex. I remember at one point thinking this is porn pure and simple!
