This book is a great introduction to counting and understanding the time we all live by. It takes you from understanding seconds all the way to a millennium. Kids have a weird perception of time and I believe this book can help them with that. My son enjoyed counting after this book. The book is very easy to understand and the pictures that aid the lesson are awesome and colorful. This book can be used in any primary classroom math activity. ( )

This is a great math book that explains math in a good breakdown for the young children 1-4 graders. It breaks down decades, years, blink of eye (seconds). It has great vocabulary that needs to be learned and great to add to the time part of the lessons. ( )

Me Counting Time is one of the best math books I have ever read . This would be a really good book to introduce time in a simplistic form such as seconds all the way to millennium I really enjoyed how the book is describing time in a real life point of view such as “A YEAR ago, my family moved to our brand new house. Now it’s twelve months old.” This book would be great for children struggling with math concepts. ( )

I absolutely love this little book! I think this is a great way for teachers to begin discussing new vocabulary words about time in so many ways. This book discusses how long piece of time is in a creative story. From this book, students can learn vocabulary words such as millennium, century, decade, year, month, week, day, hour, minute, and second. I think it would be great to break this story up and actually teach about each vocabulary word. ( )

In this book, the author discusses the concept of time and gets children familiar with vocabulary terms used when discussing time such as seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, and millennium. We follow along a 6 year old girls life who is about to turn 7 as she thinks about her life and the concept of time. This is a great book that should be incorporated into the introduction of concept of time.
