If you want clean, milquetoast romance, this is the book for you. It is just pages and pages of fluffy dialog. Practically nothing happens for the entire book. There is no conflict or any plot really to move things along. I love spinster stories but this is about a doormat and a dud. Not my cup of tea. ( )

Isabella is known as a sweet, obedient and biddable girl. She's also a Spinster and writer for the Spinster Chronicles. Sebastian is fascinated by Isabella, and believes she would be the perfect mentor for his younger sister. Isabella's secret brings them closer together, but will it be enough for them to find happiness together?

Every time I pick up one of the Spinster Chronicles, I fall in love with them some more. (Except Elinor and Charlotte. I'm still not sure about them.) Isabella is one of my favorites. Quiet and sweet, she does her best to be of service to others, keeping her own feelings and emotions to herself. This makes it all too easy for others to take advantage of her.

Sebastian is the perfect compliment to her. Their chemistry together was sweet and believable. The conflict towards the end did seem to come from nowhere but doesn't last long enough to annoy me.

For readers looking for a clean and fun series, I would wholeheartedly recommend this one! ( )
