Mary Montero's love of all things Titanic comes across clearly in this book. While obviously written with children in mind, I heartily recommend it to anyone interested in first-hand accounts of historic events. "Voices of the Titanic" brings to life the stories of a variety of people from all walks of life who found themselves on board that fateful voyage of the Titanic, from Captain Edward John Smith to 9 year old Frank Goldsmith, a 3rd class passenger who was traveling with his family. With brief biographies and contemporary photographs, I found this book simultaneously heartbreaking and fascinating. ( )
