As Baby Bear tries to find his way home through the forest, he asks many different woodland creatures for help and finds that much of their advice is more comforting than helpful.

This story about Baby Bear being lost. He can not find his way home so he asks many different friends for help. They did not exactly help him, rather give him advice. At the end of the story he realizes that he has been home the whole time.

The narrative of this sweet, reassuring story does not quite match the spectacular illustrations. Great for bedtime reading. ( )

This book is so cute, and makes you want to go to the zoo and visit baby animals immediately. I thought that it did a great job describing how nature is different when it is nighttime, how the dark isn't even scary, its just a different world. The animals were all very nice which is a little unrealistic, but for the sake of the story for kids, it works nicely. The bear being a baby makes it relatable to young kids, especially if they've ever been lost somewhere before. It shows that with courage and perseverance, and maybe a little advice or help, you can make it through a challenge.

This modern fantasy tells the story of a baby bear who is lost and trying to find his way home. He talks to several different animals, who teach him the lesson of trusting himself and listening to his heart. He meets a salmon who successfully leads him home. ( )

I had mixed feelings about this book after reading it. I liked the book because of the beautiful illustrations. There is a detailed illustration of Baby Bear gazing up to the moon and you can see the stars, as well as the moon, reflected in his eyes. But I didn’t like how the dialogue was setup. It was confusing when Baby Bear was speaking and when other animals were speaking because the words are either italicized or not. It doesn’t say which animal “said” this. Also, I did not enjoy the ending. I wanted the Baby Bear to find his family. The message of the story is to don’t be afraid to have an adventure because you will find your way home. ( )
