Leo è stupendo e non vedevo l'ora di conoscere la sua storia. Sono felicissima che sia riuscito a trovare il vero amore come i suoi amici. Jason è la sua perfetta metà e Daisy... AWWWW ADOROH!! Una bimba coraggiosissima e tenerissima :)
Un libro incantevole e delicato che chiude la trilogia principale regalando l'happy ending per il trio di amici :D ( )

3.25. Third in the series and I'm sorry to say it's starting to lose a bit of steam for me. This series, so far, has revolved around a trio of best friends, Sean (book 1), Eric (book 2) and Leo, who is the focus of this book. Jason saved Eric's life and the friend trio were beyond thankful, promising they would do anything for him, any time. So when Jason shows up on Leo's front door, bloodied, disheveled, carrying a small child and desperately searching for Eric, Leo knew it was his duty to help the man.

Jason isn't talking about what happened to him, what kind of trouble he's in, only that he needs and place for a while to keep his daughter, Daisy, safe. It takes a lot for Jason, to trust Leo, but in doing so, falls for him in the process. It takes everything in Leo to push the cop in him aside and just help Jason without pushing too hard. Meanwhile he's falling for Jason and Daisy every day they are with him.

I wanted to love this one, but I had a hard time staying into it. It was good, but not as good as the first two in the series. But in defense of the story, I've been dealing with really irritating interruption's today, so that could also be why I couldn't get into this one. A re-listen at a later date is in order and perhaps my opinion will change. ( )

Leo's turn for love. Knowing how this was set up in book two, how much Leo owed Jason for his actions (keeping it vague in case people haven't read book 2 yet) I knew Leo wouldn't turn Jason away. Even if his cop brain argued with his sense of loyalty to Eric.

As with the previous books the child is very well written and realistic, and I adored 4 year old Daisy.

I loved Leo (and cap) from the very first story and this feeling doesn't diminish now that it's his turn in the limelight. His big loving family is great.

Jason intrigued from his first appearance in book 2 and I was thrilled to find out he would be the love interest for Leo and all the conflict of interest that would bring. I wasn't disappointed.

Sean Crisden does a great job with the narration too. ( )

I enjoyed this one more than the previous 2 books of the series. There seemed to be more of a story in this one, or maybe the characters grabbed me more than the ones before. That's why it got 4 stars rather than just the 3 the previous books received.

I still feel these books are lacking somewhat. I've come to expect more from this author. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but things aren't as "fleshed out" as some of her other books and I'm also finding more editing (in particular spelling) issues than I've found in other books by R.J. Scott. ( )
