Lots of repetition so the reader doesn't miss the 'super important details' and I didn't actually feel any chemistry between the MCs. The hesitation and wariness in the beginning felt real to me (and for the record I really liked both MCs as characters) but when that suddenly flipped to lust without warning, it didn't feel natural. I don't know if I'll read the rest. You never know what will set someone off, and the perpetrator here has lost touch with reality, but will he be stopped, and when you see the length of what he is prepared for, well, be safe! A book that will linger with you long after the last page is turned! I received this book though Net Galley and the Publisher Mira, and was not required to give a positive review.
