Poor Fergus isn't very good at hiding, but with some coaching, he'll get better.

This book would be best for primary students. It is about a narrator trying to explain to a bear, named Fergus, how to hide. He tries different things, such as hiding behind a tree, in a group of moose, and with various small animals, all of which where he stands out. The narrator is motivating and encourages Fergus, given him advise on better places to hide and what to do when trying to hide. I enjoyed this book because I think it is a good way to show kids that they may not be great at something but they can always learn and become better. It also shows how to give advice kindly to others when still learning. This book would be good to use in a primary classroom because it is short, silly, and has good illustrations while teaching a lesson. ( )
