( ) I adore this world. This novella, was a tease of greatness. I want all the things, stories of all the houses. Ugh. So great. Can't wait for the next in series! This author is a master at giving so much information and texture to a small amount of words. If you love Gideon, you love this little snippet. Winter 2020 (December); Same 3.5 as last time. This tiny piece turns back the clock to when Palamedes and Camilla are thirteen and drawn into getting to see a tomb that has been unlocked for the first time in four hundred years, which promptly turns into a very quickly solved mystery. The part I loved best? The very last line, that slams into your chest like a nail in a coffin. That tiniest sentence, from a piece that had been replayed so many times in it, finally making you realize that this is being told not in-the-moment, as a rewound time in the life, but as a reminiscence by the only one of them left now, holding on to what she loved most about her Warden/Necromancer. (The part I rolled my eyes at most? The much belated, and by that seemingly much out of place by the time it happens, need for the children losing it sniggering about his name right before the end. But the author had already seemed much amused with any chance it could be put in book one, so I couldn't find this surprising, or out of place and disappointing. It would have made sense more at the beginning, at first hearing it, or the first time they were alone after, but alas.) Zeige 3 von 3 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
