AUDIOBOOK review

If I had not already read this book for myself I doubt I would have known this was a comedy. in particular, the narrator failed to provide any differentiation between the various male characters, making them sound dull and inexpressive.

This series is among my favourites, but not this narrator.

Mildly fun. This is the story of the Devil and his wife, who have shown up several times already - it's set a bit earlier in the timeline than all the previous books. She is odd in several ways, especially not being afraid of the Devil at all; and to make things work out requires the direct intervention of a couple archangels and God (or /He/, as he's generally referred to). And apparently /He/ has been interfering for quite some time. Annoying, rather. There are a lot of references to things that will happen in other books - more interference. I need to read the one with the Devil's daughter again, or at least the beginning. I'm finding this series less interesting as the...arc, or Moebius curve, or whatever...becomes more visible. I like the individual stories, not the ones that are mostly subjugated to the grand arc. ( )
