The New Strong-Willed Child is for parents needing help dealing with sibling rivalry, ADHD, low self-esteem, and other important issues. This book is a must for parents and teachers struggling to raise and teach children who are convinced they should be able to live by their own rules! If you're a parent with a strong willed child, this book is for you. These children are precious human beings who need a special kind of understanding and discipline by his parents. This book is devoted to his unique needs. It focuses on infancy, childhood, and adolescence, and then discusses sibling rivalry, hyper-activity, self-esteem and the most common errors made by frustrated parents. The Strong-Willed Child is a practical "How-To" book on discipline, and is written in the warm and humorous style that has made Dr. Dobson one of America's best loved authors. I was not too impressed with this book. Maybe I was expecting too much of an innovative solution to dealing with strong-willed children, but this was a lot of common sense stuff that most parents that are working at being good parents already know: consistency, training, etc. Certainly I agree with a lot of the suggestions here, but I also thought this book was way long for the amount of actual substance. About three chapters could have covered it. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
