This informational book tells of deserts, their inhabitants, and how these inhabitants make life work in such a difficult climate. I like the captioned photographs that accompany the text and also the map, showing where the world's deserts are located. This book would be suitable for a 1-2 grade class to introduce the desert climate and the different people who call the desert home.
