I liked the beginning of this book, but I had a difficult time sticking with it for some reason. I wouldn't give a negative review - it was fine, give it a shot, see if it's your thingThe Paris Predicament carries the reader on a long and winding (but fun and interesting) journey) after an American artist in Paris causes a tragic accident during a moment of distraction. On the run, Camille becomes “Lucy” and travels to several countries, but is always helped by a cast of memorable characters. This is a great book for armchair travelers and for people who want to see the positive side of human life.
Camille, a twenty-seven-year-old American artist in Paris chalks portraits outside of the Louvre Museum. Her stunning partnership with a talented busker, Bertrand, brought the duo notoriety. In a moment, a tragic accident dismantles her enchanting existence; in the aftermath, Camilles life is entangled with a foreigner who introduces lost pieces of her life to her. This first-person novel captures the quest for love, truth, and meaning in a tumultuous world. The Paris Predicament, a playful, thrilling, and unpredictable page-turner will take you for a wondrous ride around the world without ever leaving your seat.
