Rupi Kaur really is out here reclaiming poetry and defining the pathway for herself. i really loved this collection. as always, there’s focus on love, self-love, feminism, immigration and mental health amongst a whole array of other things. i love her simplistic style, it's a style that invites you to look deeper within yourself and uncover your own truth. her words come from a place of genuine self-awareness and brute honesty. it’s uncomfortable to read and sit with, but you're filled with comfort by the end ( )

This book was a very fast read, when I first saw it and read the first line I didn’t know it was gonna be really dark really fast. Some parts of the poem did resonate with me while others didn’t. ( )

I was tuned in, but the line that encaptured me was the line "...walk yourself back where the love lives..." That hit my soul. ( )

Finalmente siamo tornati alle origini! Una raccolta di poesie che mi ha colpito dall'inizio alla fine. Un libro in cui viene esplorato l'universo femminile, soffermandosi sui dolori e le gioie della vita, facendoci riflettere su temi importanti e tristemente attuali. Dopo essere rimasta delusa dal precedente libro sono finalmente tornata a emozionarmi :) ho tenuto il fiato sospeso e mi sono messa a piangere come una bambina per la bellezza di certi versi. La dimostrazione di come si possa commuovere e colpire le persone senza per forza scrivere poemi epici. L'autrice ci dimostra che si può insegnare qualcosa con spontaneità e semplicità, aprendo il proprio cuore e condividendo le proprie esperienze. Un libro incantevole, semplice da leggere anche in inglese e che consiglio caldamente a tutti! ( )
